Situated just a short stroll away from the historic town centre of Dover lies the site formerly used as air cadet training centre. We have been working with Dover District Council on a planning application for a residential scheme of one and two bedroom new-build apartments. The proposed design of the new building is strongly influenced by neighbouring properties in the street and it is to feature Victorian style bay windows and eave brackets whereas internally the apartments are to have contemporary design and open plan layout, ideal for the modern day living.
An abundance of history and heritage, stunning views and landscapes and great transport links make Dover a great place to live. The famous White Cliffs and Dover Castle are among the top attractions in Kent and make a great place for walks with stunning views across the Chanel. There has been a lot of investment in the Dover area recently such as the new St James Retail and Leisure Park which houses a six-screen cinema and the new Dover District Leisure Centre which offers county-standard competition swimming pool, indoor climbing centre and many other sporting activities. Dover Port is home to ferry operators making day trips to France easily accessible and an enjoyable way to spend your weekends.
The site is well positioned on the edge of Dover town centre, close to local restaurants, bars, supermarkets and variety of schools. It is also a short walk to the mainline train station that offers high speed service to London St Pancras in just over one hour making commuting a viable option.
